In follicular unit transportation,

 a strip of scalp is removed from the donor site, usually from the back or side of the head. Individual hair follicles are harvested from the strip of scalp and it is transplanted to the needed area. The surgery is done under sedative anesthesia and the surgery duration depends on the number of hair follicle and hospitalization is not required.

Another method is Follicular Unit Extraction(FUT).


 Hair follicles are harvested directly from the scalp using auto-direct machine and after collection the hair follicles, follicles are transplanted on the required areas. The surgery is done under sedative anesthesia and the surgery duration depends on the number of hair follicle and hospitalization is not required.
