 Accessory breast results from failed regression of mammary tissue and is most often located in the axilla. As accessory breast can give off unpleasing aesthetic appearance and can also give functional discomfort, Axillary breast removal can be considered.

There are two ways to treat accessory breast which is with liposuction or with incisional method. Axillary liposuction is a procedure that is performed when the accessory breast are mostly consisted of fat and small amount of mammary gland and is suitable for most patients. On the other hand Axillary breast tissue removal is required when the axillary breast is consisted of both fat and mammary gland. The surgery type depends on the incision site.
