Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that removes skin and a layer of the fat when there is excess fat distributed across the abdomen and the skin elasticity has decreased. If areas between the rectus abdominus muscles are very loose, its function is reinforced by vertically folding and suturing.
Suture line is located on the lower abdomen so it is easily covered by underwear and the scar will fade away as time goes by.
Surgery is done under general anesthesia and stitches are removed after 2-3 weeks.
