Rhinoplasty so-called a nose job is a procedure of reshaping the nose as well as improving the function. Asians tend to have a flatter profile and small features which brings a drastic change when the nose gets augmented. Most of the time, the bridge is augmented using ‘I’ shape high soft silicon and the tip is elevated with the patient’s own cartilage. In contrast, Caucasians usually don’t find problems with the height of the nose but instead have concerns related to the hump or the wide nasal bone and tip. In this case, procedures to shave the hump and reduce the width of the nose can be performed without inserting silicon on the nose bridge. 

Depending on the ethnic background and the individual features, the shape of the nose that looks natural but aesthetically satisfying will be designed during the consultation with the doctor. However, as the preference always differs we recommend bringing pictures of your ideal nose when visiting the clinic to give a complete understanding of the nose you prefer. On top of your preference, the surgeon will tell you if the goal is realistic, and if it will look natural in your features.
