There is no doubt that Korea one of the most desired destinations to travel for plastic surgery. The reason will be because of its drastic but natural-looking results, the highest and latest techniques and facilities, and affordable price. However, traveling to a country that you are completely unfamiliar with can be challenging and hard to imagine. Here are some travel tips to visit Korea.

Airport pick-up, drop-off and accommodation service
Although Korea has an affordable taxi service and an easily accessible public transport system from the airport, it will be much more convenient to have someone waiting for you at the airport to take you to the hotel safe and comfortably. Grand is providing pick-up service for our clients so they can feel comfortable and welcomed in Korea. Another most common concern is accommodation during the stay in Korea. For most of the simple procedures, hospitalization is not required after the surgery and will be discharged after a few hours of rest. Some procedures do need hospitalization but usually after 1-2 nights of stay the patients are ready to get discharged. Along with airport pick-up, we also arrange hotel and guest house booking with the affiliated rate near our hospital.

Language
We often get a question if it’s okay to travel without knowing the language and the answer to this is yes. Korea especially Seoul has an English friendly environment for tourists who visit the city. You will be able to find English signs everywhere and most Koreans have basic English skills. During your visit to the hospital, an English consultant will be assisting you 1:1 at all times to avoid any discomfort.

Recovery after the surgery.
With minor procedures, you are allowed to go back to your country 2-3 days after the surgery. But for the procedure that requires stitches, as the stitches are usually removed after 1-2 weeks, you will need to remove it back in your local clinic. Or you can simply stay for a 1-2 week to have the stitches removed here. Some procedures can require at least 1-week stay in Korea so please consult us for detailed information.
For most of the surgeries, going back to daily activities are available 2-5 days after the surgery. The major swelling subsides within 2 weeks and minor swelling takes few months to subside but once the major swelling subsides the face will look normal and natural.
