Precautions after Fat Grafting 

•Avoid rubbing the surgical area and moving excessively until the grafted fat fully settles down.

•Do not press or touch the surgical area directly.

•Avoid wearing hat/cap as it can leave marks on the surgical area. 

•Avoid excessive activity and rest for 1 week after the surgery.

•As fluid can come out on the surgical site until 3 days after the surgery please wipe it off gently.

•Going back to daily activity is possible after 3 weeks after the surgery as this is when the transplanted tissues become stabilized.   

•Please avoid lying face down or lowering the head down when sleeping.

•Keep the head 20-30 degrees higher than the heart by having 2-3 pillows under the head to reduce the swelling and pain.

•Avoid sleeping on your sides and sleep on your back instead for 4 weeks after the surgery.

•Be ware of pressing or rubbing the face during face wash

•Please avoid going to the sauna or hot spring for 3 weeks after surgery.

•Smoking and drinking alcohol is not allowed for 1 month after the surgery as alcohol can cause inflammation and tobacco contracts the blood vessels which delays the recovery.

•If unavoidable, it is recommended at least after 4 weeks after the surgery.
